Katrina Swift, 34, a solicitor from Barnes in London
has been training with Julia Bishop for 2 years.
‘After having my son Casper two years ago I weighed 11st 8lbs (74.9kg).
I started exercising and eating healthily and managed to get down to 10st
(64kg) myself. But then I hit a plateau and the weight wouldn’t
come off. That’s when I called in Move Your Bump.
‘Losing weight with Julia was so easy, in just two hour long sessions
a week my weight slid down to 8st 5lbs (54kg) in just 8 months. Julia
had incredibly high expectations of me and believed that I could achieve
so much. She keeps things really interesting by using different exercises
all the time and tailors her workouts to your particular needs
‘Once I’d reached my target weight I’d planned to stop
having a trainer, but Julia got me hooked. My goal changed from losing
weight to getting as fit and healthy as I could and it felt amazing and
I was even running half marathons.
‘When I got pregnant again I was determined to stay fit. Julia
knew how to adapt my workout to benefit me and the baby. As I got bigger
we carried on with the cardio and strength work but took longer rest breaks
and focused on counteracting the effect of the pregnancy on my posture.
‘I would never have stayed so fit without Julia keeping an eye on
me. It made my pregnancy so much easier and kept me feeling positive.
I stopped working out at seven months, because the summer weather was
too hot to keep going. Unfortunately this meant I gained weight and after
India was born the scales read 11st 1lb (71kg).
‘I had India by caesarean so I had to wait six weeks before I could
start exercising again and I was desperate to get going. Julia broke me
back in slowly so that I could regain my fitness levels.
‘We did lots of cardio work to burn fat and increase my fitness
levels, and strength work to get my body back in shape. Nine sessions
later and I’ve lost almost a stone already. My two hours with Julia
are my little bit of me-time and she gives me the energy I need to cope
with the sleepless nights and a busy two-year old. It’s brilliant
and I wouldn’t be without her!’
